Fresh Spot Coffee Available Soon

The first containers filled with beautiful, fresh, and diverse tasting Guatemalan coffee lots are on their way to Vollers Rotterdam. These coffee beans made their way from the different farms to our dry mill to be cleaned, sorted and packed in Ecotact and jute, and they will soon be ready for you to roast them.

Our dry mill plays a crucial part in the quality control process of the coffees we have on offer. The meticulous sorting and cleaning that happens here is essential to showcasing the quality of the beans our producers grow. If you would like to see how our dry mill works, you can check out the whole process of parchment coffee coming in, up to the clean coffee being bagged and loaded for export in this video below:

Primavera Coffee Blends

Guatemalan coffee production consists mostly of coffee from smallholder producers. Sometimes the coffee quality hits right below our microlot offerings, and sometimes the lot volume is too small to be processed into microlots. This doesn't mean there isn't a home for these small producers' coffee at Primavera. We will still buy these lots, and of course, pay the farmer a good price. These small lots go into one of our fully traceable blends.

Our classic blend is sourced from small producers in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala, and it showcases the nuanced chocolate and yellow fruit notes that have made Guatemalan coffee a favourite with coffee lovers.  Built for versatility - it performs well as a single origin or blender, for espresso and for filter coffee at any roast level.

This blend was created to celebrate the efforts of women who produce coffee in the Huehuetenango region. The role of women in the coffee value chain continues to evolve and they earn more recognition with each year that passes. When roasters purchase this coffee, a portion of the price goes to fund workshops that are targeted to women coffee producers, so that they can access key agronomy and post-harvest processing trainings.

Sustainably sourced from the Jalapa region of New Oriente, Cafe del Valle showcases the region’s characteristic syrupy body and deep notes of chocolate. In the Jalapa region, we buy cherry from coffee farmers rather than parchment. This not only allows us to offer the coffee at a great price, but also to work with producers specifically on their harvesting practices as a targeted way to boost coffee quality. This affordable option shines in a variety of profiles, and excels in any blend.
