Primavera Meets Ethiopia

We all know it's true: there's something special about Ethiopian coffees.

Ethiopia is, after all, the birthplace of coffee, and since the advent of specialty coffee, coffee drinkers around the world have fallen in love with these special coffees. And now, we are proud to announce that Primavera's first ever Ethiopian coffees are heading to Europe this summer!

We have offered Guatemalan coffees for over a decade, and outstanding Colombian coffees since 2022. But making the jump to Africa is a brand new adventure for us. The Ethiopian cup profile is the perfect addition to our offerings, expanding the variety of flavour profiles and giving us more fantastic seasonal coffee to share with our partners year round.

Of course, we want to broaden the range we have on offer, but also keep our value chain transparent and fair. That's why we decided to work with an export partner that has the same intimate understanding of Ethiopian coffee as we do in Latin America - and most importantly, a partner that shares our values of quality, equity, and sustainability. Zele, Emily, and Michael (the forces behind ZEM Coffee) sourced this year's Ethiopian coffees for us, and guided the coffees through the complex Ethiopian supply chain.

We are proud to be offering both our Primavera Friends larger lots and smaller micro lots in a range of processes and flavour profiles from Guji, Yirgacheffe and Sidama this season. We can't wait to share these incredible coffees with you!

Ready to cup our 2024 Ethiopian coffees?

We'll be cupping our Ethiopian lots every day at World of Coffee in Copenhagen June 27th-29th.

Not coming to WoC? Take a look at our offer list here, and you're welcome to request samples using the button at the top of the offer list screen. You can also request any Guatemalan samples that are currently listed as "available now". Please let us know if you would like any of our recommendations!
