Updates from Guatemala & Ethiopia
Harvest is now underway!
We are entering the busiest months of the year - but these are also the most exciting months! On our agenda is meeting roasters and producers, cupping through a mountain of samples, and gearing up to ship the first containers. Here are updates from Guatemala and Ethiopia where harvest is now underway.
GUATEMALA: The harvest has only just started in the higher altitude regions where we work, but soon things will be a flurry of activity! Our team has been hard at work preparing for purchases and visiting with producers in Huehuetenango, and we've been organizing the schedule for upcoming origin trips when roasters around the world will be joining us.
Samples will be available in the spring, with coffees landing at Vollers in the Netherlands around May/June.
ETHIOPIA: We are in close contact with our exporter in Ethiopia, and he reports to us that harvest began a little early this year. Early regional lots are tasting nice, and we can't wait to begin cupping microlots in the coming months. We're deep in conversations with our coffee roaster partners about both Guatemala and Ethiopia to better understand the needs for the year, so make sure to get in touch with us if you haven't already.
