Aiding Guatemalan Coffee Producers During the Pandemic

As a part of the Global Coffee Festival taking place this week, we are hosting an Instagram Live event on Saturday for GCF Fringe, and shining light on to the challenges Guatemalan coffee producers are facing due to the pandemic. The presentation will explore how, together with our partners in the coffee industry, we have strengthened our ties to coffee growing communities in Guatemala and provided much-needed aid through a food security project.

This virtual event will explore our conversations with Guatemalan coffee farmers in the wake of Covid-19, their accounts of how life has changed, and the impact of our short-term food relief program which ran August-October. Anyone interested in how Covid-19 has affected coffee producers is welcome to attend, listen and participate in a Q&A with Primavera Director Nadine Rasch.
