Primavera Coffee Importers (Third Wave Coffee Source Ltd.) is a boutique Guatemalan coffee importer based in the U.K. With deep roots in the country, we grew from four generations of growing coffee to working with over 200 exceptional producers from every region in Guatemala. We operate a wet mill in Huehuetenango, a dry mill and export company (La Central de café), as well as import and distribute coffees to some of the best roasters in Europe.

After having experienced high growth over the past 7 years, we would like to expand our Sales and Client Support Department.  In this role, we expect you will be as enthusiastic as we are about the coffees and producers we work with. The job will require you to spend part of the Harvest in Guatemala for 4 - 6 weeks (February – Mach), followed by an intense selling period and afterwards the roll focuses around client support.   

During the four-six weeks in Guatemala you will:  

-       Coordinate cupping session and support the lab

-       Ensure clients are serviced and happy during their origin trip to Guatemala

-       Assist with farm visits and farmer documentation (Taking notes for info sheets & Traceability)

-       Send newsletters every other week with harvest updates

-       Keep our social medial updated 

-       Keep inventory and purchase management 

-       Create a cohesive pipeline of potential clients and contact them 

-       Prepare and send pre-shipment samples

We hope that your time on the ground will leave you energized to return to Europe and promote our coffees with our existing clients as well as new ones.  While you are back in Europe you will have tons of coffee to sell. Most coffee still be in Guatemala, therefore selling on a pre-shipment basis is key.

This roll calls for self-motivated and self-starting individuals. As mentioned above, you will be required to work by yourself and have, weekly checkup meetings with Nadine.

Our expectations while in Europe are the following: 

-       Organize Coffee Trade Show Stands – particularly the World of Coffee, Amsterdam Coffee Festival, London Coffee Festival, etc.  

-       Frequent European travel to visit roasters, Coordinate Client cuppings - roasting on an IKAWA

-       Sending samples 

-       Ensure you follow-up with each client as needed

-       Manage all social media outlets  

-       Weekly reports on: Clients contacted, sales pipeline, actual sales, releases and deliveries

The role also involves the administrative part of sales and client management, including but not limited to the following:

-       Invoice creation

-       Coffee releases and deliveries from the warehouse, inventory control

-       Warehouse sampling and quality control cupping

-       Ensure samples arrive on time and client provides feedback
