Reintroducing Primavera Green Coffee

In some ways, 2023 will be the perfect continuation of our work for the past 10 years. Nadine Rasch, our founder and director, spearheads our small team with a passion for incredible coffees, sourced sustainably and delivered with outstanding customer service. Guatemala has been the center of our work for the past decade, and it will always be at the heart of what we do in coffee. But over the years, our customers have expressed that they want to find new ways to work with us in different origins, and we think it’s time to make that happen! In 2023, we are excited to announce that we will be welcoming new origins and new coffees to our offer list. Our first Colombian lots have already landed, and in the near future we will be featuring more unique lots and microlots that represent our values and our love for the beauty of high quality coffees.

We’ve decided to complement our new offerings with a fresh new look! We chose bright, happy colors that showcase the excitement of tasting a new, unique coffee - as well as the joy of cupping a fresh harvest of your favorite coffees from years past. Our brand will now be represented by a single little coffee flower *, and as an asterisk it doubles as an invitation to dive beneath the surface and learn more about our work across the world of coffee.

Thanks for being our partner as we head into this new endeavor, and please reach out to us if you’d like to keep the conversation going! You can stay connected to us via this newsletter, our social media, and our trade shows this year to work with us to source some incredible coffees - beautiful Guatemalan coffees from years past as well as dazzling new options from around the world.

Colombian coffees have landed

As you know, Primavera Green Coffee has deep roots in Guatemala - we have developed a strong value chain based on relationships with coffee producers and meticulous pursuit of sustainable, high quality coffees. But over the years, we have listened to our customers express that they would love to find more ways to work with us in different origins, too. And now, we are excited to announce that we’ll be welcoming new origins and new coffees to our offer list for 2023!

Our work in Guatemala is the inspiration of our endeavors in new coffee origins, and we will have much more to share with you in the coming months as we add new lots and microlots to our North America offer list. But for now, the big news is that we have two regional blend lots from small producers in Colombia that have recently landed at the Annex in Oakland, and are now ready to ship! These lots are inspired by our mainstay Guatemalan coffee, Primavera Family - but they have unique profiles all their own. We are tasting creamy notes of Nutella in the Antioquia regional blend, while Cundinamarca’s blend sings with notes of berries and fresh fruits with a sweet caramel finish.

Want a sample? Email us and let’s get the conversation going! We can’t wait to share this year’s coffees with you - both your long-standing relationship coffees as well as our new gems from around the world.

Guatemala Year Projections

The harvest is looking great and our beautiful Guatemalan coffee will be in a warehouse near you soon!

We can't believe it's that time of year yet again - harvest season in Guatemala! Our lab started receiving samples and we have started purchasing our first lots of the year. Coffee quality thus far has been great and we are expecting a fantastic year ahead. Our lab team has been sorting, roasting, and cupping these coffees, and out in Huehuetenango, our agronomy team has been contacting coffee producers, answering questions, and receiving coffee at our warehouse in San Antonio Huista. The first lots have been sent to our dry mill, where we have just completed construction on a new warehouse in order to store more coffee during the busy weeks of milling and shipping coffee.

Meanwhile, our sales teams are here to share details and answer your questions so that you'll be ready for samples as the harvest continues. If you haven't spoken to a Primavera team member about your needs for the upcoming harvest, please reach out and get the conversation started!
